Language Assistant main tasks are:
  • To speak English all school period, specially if there are pupils in front of you.
  • To encourage children to practice English and do the classroom activities.
  • To create oral interaction with all pupils at school.
  • To feel free to give opinions, correct or present language or subject contents.
  • To help to decorate classrooms and corridors.
  • To deal with the classroom routines and the library and other Reading plan activities.
  • To Introduce new activities, art handcrafts, experiments, Festivities, etc.
  • To help children to achieve goals in every unit giving them feed back and reviewing their works.
  • To make and practice external exams samples  .
  • TO DO THE MOST.
At Daniel Martín, we want assistants to be part of the learning process. For that reason we need to know your teaching experience, your age preference, your best skills and your studies.
Our school is multilingual: there are lots of nationalities. It provides a dinamic atmosphere in which students can see the importance of communication.
Every fortnight there is a meeting in which you can give us your opinions and assess your job.
Your stay is regulated by a booklet.

If you feel ill you will visit the doctor and he will give you a paper that will be required at school to justify your time off.

Our cultural background does not allow us to stretch, yawn, drink, eat (chewing gums included), use your cell phone, wear: shorts, sleeveless, cups, hoods at the classroom.

Depending on the term assistants move from their regular groups to others, in order to help teachers preparing internal and external exams or specific tasks where support from native people is needed.

Timetables:

  • 16 hours a week
  • One day off at the beginning or at the end of the week (Monday or Friday).
